Dancing with the rain
My aim with this new series is to infuse the paintings with as much movement and vitality as possible. This dynamic energy is created through a deliberate and expressive use of the brush, guided by rhythm, sound, and the carefully chosen music that accompanies the creative process.

Welcome to a journey through the essential spheres of existence — birth, death, and the relentless movement in between. The solo exhibition TRANSIENCE by painter and sculptor Dhira Barein invites viewers to experience the perpetual dance between these opposing forces: a fleeting encounter with time, enveloped in constant transformation.
Our existence on this planet is a temporary gift, offering us the ability to move, evolve, and transform. Yet how do we choose to inhabit this limited span of time, knowing that nothing endures except change itself? This question lies at the heart of Barein’s artistic practice, which explores movement, transformation, and impermanence.
The figures within the paintings come alive as the viewer’s gaze begins to perceive their motion and the soul starts to grasp their narrative. Clay sculptures — traditionally associated with weight and stillness — are set into motion by the artist’s hand. Barein captures the precise moment in which heavy material transcends its own gravity, radiating lightness and grace, allowing past and present to merge in a harmonious choreography of elements.
The exhibition stands as an ode to the continuous flow of life, forever advancing and reshaping itself. Every encounter — whether with a person, a memory, or a fleeting moment — becomes a unique dance marked by transformation and transience. Visitors are invited to recognize the beauty within life’s constant movement and to find the courage to join this dance themselves.
